From Mathematics to Video Editing: How Kamran done it? 

About Me

My name is Kamran, and I come from a small village in Punjab. After completing my BS in Mathematics from Islamia University Bahawalpur, I was looking for a career that could give me both satisfaction and a stable income. But the job options I found didn’t feel right for me. During this time, my brother gave me an idea that changed my life. He suggested I move to Faisalabad and join Bright With Us’s annual internship program in video editing.

The Beginning of a New Chapter

Leaving my home and starting something completely new was not easy. Moving to Faisalabad and joining Bright With Us felt like a big step, but it turned out to be the best decision of my life. The internship program at Bright With Us was perfect for someone like me, who had no experience in video editing.

The first four months of the program were all about learning the basics. The teachers, especially Sir Habib Ur Rahman, guided us step by step. They taught us how to use editing software, create interesting stories, and make videos look great. These four months completely changed me. I not only learned new skills but also started believing that I could succeed in a creative field.

My Freelancing Journey

After learning the basics, I was encouraged by my mentors to start freelancing. I made a Fiverr account and took my first steps into the freelancing world. In the beginning, it was tough. I had to learn how to talk to clients, deliver projects on time, and market my services. But the training I received at Bright With Us helped me a lot.

I started with small projects. These first few projects were not big, but they taught me many important lessons. Slowly, I built a portfolio and began to get more work. Over time, I gained confidence and started getting bigger projects. I also decided to work with local clients, which gave me even more opportunities to grow.

Coming Back to Muzaffargarh and Building a Team

As my freelancing career improved, I decided to go back to Muzaffargarh, the place where my journey started. Returning home felt special, and it gave me a chance to share what I had learned. I wanted to help others who were starting their careers, just like I had once started mine.

I formed a small team of three to four people who were also interested in video editing. Together, we started working on projects. Managing a team was a new experience for me, but it taught me how to work with others and lead. Today, I manage multiple Fiverr accounts and also work with local clients. My team has helped me grow, and we work together to deliver the best results.

The Role of Bright With Us

Bright With Us played a big role in my success. The training and support I received there gave me the tools I needed to start my freelancing journey. More than just technical skills, the mentors at Bright With Us taught me how to stay strong, adapt to challenges, and believe in myself.

The guidance from Sir Habib Ur Rahman and the friendly environment at the institute helped me face difficulties and grab new opportunities. Bright With Us didn’t just teach me video editing; it gave me the confidence to change my life.

My Message to Pakistan’s Youth

My message to the youth of Pakistan is simple: after completing your degree, make sure you learn practical skills. A degree is important, but skills help you stand out in today’s world. Programs like the one at Bright With Us can give you the start you need.

Success comes from a mix of learning, hard work, and never giving up. Build your network, keep improving your skills, and don’t be afraid to take risks. With a degree in one hand and skills in the other, you can build a bright future.

Looking back, I feel grateful for my journey. From being a student of mathematics to becoming a video editor, team leader, and mentor, my story shows that with the right support and the will to learn, you can achieve your dreams.
