My name is Muhammad Mubeen, and I am from Kot Addu, Muzaffargarh district. In 2019, I moved to Faisalabad to study for my BS in Chemistry. At that time, I had no idea my life was about to change in ways I couldn’t have imagined.
In 2021, I met Habib Ur Rehman, my senior from College Level, who was already freelancing. He spoke about his experiences and the opportunities freelancing could offer. Habib was starting an organization called Bright With Us, aimed at helping students like me learn digital skills and build online careers.
When Habib invited me to join Bright With Us and learn freelancing, I was excited and nervous. I didn’t know much about freelancing or earning money online. However, his confidence in me gave me the push I needed to take the first step. Little did I know, this decision would shape my future in ways I never imagined.
Taking the First Step: Learning New Skills
At Bright With Us, I started learning about freelancing. Habib taught us the basics how to create accounts on platforms like Fiverr, how to find clients, and how to deliver quality work. The training was practical, and Habib encouraged us to ask questions and learn from his experiences.
I worked hard during my training. I learned how to create profiles that stand out, how to write proposals that attract clients, and how to handle projects professionally. For someone like me, with no prior experience, it felt like a whole new world.
After completing the training, I was eager to start my freelancing journey. I created my first Fiverr account and started applying for jobs. Every day, I sent out proposals, hoping to get my first order. But things didn’t go as smoothly as I had hoped.
Facing Challenges and Early Struggles
Months passed, and I didn’t get a single order. It was frustrating. I started doubting myself and wondered if I had made the right decision. However, Habib and the team at Bright With Us kept motivating me. They reminded me that freelancing requires patience and persistence.
Finally, after months of hard work, I got my first order. The excitement I felt is hard to describe. It was a small project, but it meant the world to me. It was proof that my efforts were paying off.
But my happiness didn’t last long. Soon after completing my first project, my Fiverr account was banned due to a mistake I made. Losing my account was a big setback. It felt like all my hard work had been wasted. I was devastated and didn’t know what to do next.
Bouncing Back After Failure
During this tough time, Habib stood by me like a true mentor. He told me not to lose hope and encouraged me to start over. With his guidance, I created a new Fiverr account and began again from scratch.
Starting over wasn’t easy. For months, I didn’t get any orders. But this time, I was more determined than ever. I used the lessons I had learned from my mistakes and focused on improving my skills. I stayed patient, kept sending proposals, and kept believing in myself.
Eventually, things started to change. Slowly but surely, clients began to notice my work. I started getting orders, and my freelancing career began to take off.
Expanding My Skills and Growing My Career
As I gained more experience, I realized the importance of learning new skills. I wanted to expand my services and offer more value to my clients. That’s when I decided to learn SEO and blogging.
SEO was a game-changer for me. It helped me understand how online businesses work and how to make websites rank higher in search results. Blogging, on the other hand, allowed me to share my knowledge and experiences with a wider audience.
I started my own blog and worked hard to make it successful. After months of dedication, my blog got approved by Google AdSense. This was a major milestone for me. Having an AdSense-approved blog not only provided a steady income but also gave me a platform to showcase my skills.
On Fiverr, my hard work paid off as well. I became a Level 2 seller, which brought more clients and bigger projects. I also started managing multiple Fiverr accounts, ensuring I had diverse income streams.
Building a Team and Helping Others
One of the most rewarding parts of my journey has been building a team. As I took on more projects, I realized I couldn’t do everything on my own. That’s when I decided to train a few people in my community and involve them in my work.
Working with a team has been an amazing experience. It has not only allowed me to handle more clients but also given me the opportunity to help others grow. Together, we have been able to achieve more than I ever could on my own.
Having a team also gave me the freedom to focus on bigger goals, like improving my blog, learning advanced skills, and exploring new opportunities in the digital world.
Looking Back and Moving Forward
When I look back at my journey, I feel proud of how far I’ve come. From struggling to get my first order to becoming a Level 2 seller on Fiverr and running a successful blog, it has been an incredible experience.
But this is just the beginning. I have big dreams for the future. I want to expand my blog, take on more challenging projects, and continue helping others achieve their goals.
My Message to the Youth
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from my journey, it’s that success doesn’t come easy. It takes hard work, patience, and a willingness to learn. But the good news is, if you’re ready to put in the effort, nothing can stop you from achieving your dreams.
To all the students out there, my advice is simple: learn new skills along with your studies. Your degree is important, but in today’s world, practical skills can open doors you never imagined.
Freelancing is not just about earning money; it’s about building a career that gives you freedom and flexibility. There will be challenges along the way, but don’t let them discourage you. Every setback is an opportunity to learn and grow.
